These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the website ClimbInTenerife and the services provided through it. By accessing this website or booking any activities, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

2. Services
ClimbInTenerife offers outdoor climbing activities, courses, guiding services, and related experiences. All services are subject to availability and may be modified or cancelled due to weather conditions, safety concerns, or other unforeseen circumstances.
3. Event Duration
The duration of any activity or course is subject to weather conditions, organizational factors, and other unforeseen variables, including the specific needs of the activity. The time indicated in the activity description is an estimated approximation and includes the time required to reach the climbing site (approach/hike to the rock). Participants are expected to plan accordingly and follow the guidance of instructors regarding start and end times.
4. Booking and payment
4.1 Reservation fee
To confirm a booking, 50% of the total course price must be paid as a reservation fee at the time of booking.
The remaining 50% must be paid before the start of the course or activity.
A booking is considered confirmed only after the reservation fee has been received.
4.2 Accepted payment methods
The following payment methods are accepted:

Bank transfer

Bizum

PayPal
-
Cash
Payment details will be communicated during the booking process.
5. Cancellations, refunds, rescheduling and no-shows
5.1 Cancellations by the participant

Cancellations made up to 24 hours before the start of the course are eligible for a full refund of the reservation fee.

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the course start will result in the reservation fee being retained.
5.2 Rescheduling
Rescheduling may be possible by mutual agreement, subject to availability. ClimbInTenerife is not obliged to offer a rescheduled date.
5.3 No-Show Policy
If a participant does not appear at the agreed meeting point and time without prior notice, the booking will be considered a no-show. In this case:

The reservation fee will be retained
-
No refund will be issued
-
The activity will be considered completed
5.4 Cancellations by ClimbInTenerife
ClimbInTenerife reserves the right to cancel or reschedule activities due to:

adverse weather conditions
-
safety concerns
-
force majeure
-
insufficient participants
In such cases, participants will be offered an alternative date or a refund of payments made.
6. Participant requirements
Participants must:

be in suitable physical condition for climbing activities
-
follow all safety instructions provided by guides or instructors
-
inform ClimbInTenerife of any medical conditions or limitations prior to participation
ClimbInTenerife reserves the right to refuse participation if safety requirements are not met.
7. Guest Conduct
Participants are expected to behave respectfully and responsibly during all activities. This includes, but is not limited to:

Following all instructions and safety guidelines provided by ClimbInTenerife staff or instructors.

Treating other participants, staff, and the natural environment with respect.

Using climbing equipment and facilities properly and responsibly.
-
Refraining from disruptive, unsafe, or illegal behavior, including excessive alcohol consumption or drug use.

Ensuring that children or dependents under their care comply with safety and behavioral rules.
ClimbInTenerife reserves the right to remove any participant from the activity without refund if their behavior endangers themselves, others, or property.
8. Participants under 18 (Minors) and Children
8.1 Children under 3 years old
Children under 3 years old may only accompany the group if the course is suitable for their age and must be under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian at all times.
Their presence must be confirmed with ClimbInTenerife prior to booking.
Children under 3 cannot actively participate in the course.
8.2 Safety notice for small children
Parents and guardians are responsible for the safety of children under 3 and must take precautions regarding:

risk of falling rocks (rockfall)
-
uneven or rocky ground
-
general hazards of outdoor climbing areas for infants and toddlers
ClimbInTenerife is not responsible for injuries or incidents involving children under 3 who are accompanying the group.
8.3 Children from 3 to under 14 years old
Children from 3 years old may participate only if the course is suitable for their age and abilities, and participation must be confirmed with ClimbInTenerife prior to booking.
Children under 14 years may only participate if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, and their participation must also be pre-approved by ClimbInTenerife.
8.4 Participants aged 14–18 years
Participants aged 14 to 18 years may participate in courses without a parent or legal guardian physically present, provided that the course is suitable for their age and abilities.
Parental or legal guardian consent is required prior to booking.
Participants in this age group must follow all safety instructions and guidelines provided by ClimbInTenerife instructors.
ClimbInTenerife reserves the right to require a parent or guardian to accompany the participant if it is deemed necessary for safety reasons.
All bookings for minors require explicit confirmation from ClimbInTenerife that the child or youth can safely participate in the chosen activity.
8.5 Authorization

All bookings for minors must be authorized by a parent or legal guardian.

By confirming the booking, the parent or guardian agrees to these Terms and Conditions on behalf of the minor.

The parent or guardian confirms that the minor is physically fit and capable of participating in the activity and accepts all risks described in these Terms and Conditions on behalf of the minor.
9. Assumption of risk
Climbing and outdoor activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to falls, injuries, and changing environmental conditions.
By participating, participants acknowledge these risks and agree to take part at their own responsibility.
10. Insurance Coverage
All participants are covered by ClimbInTenerife's insurance policies, including:

Responsabilidad Civil (Liability Insurance) – covers damages or injuries caused to third parties during activities.

Accidentes en Viajes (Travel Accident Insurance) – provides coverage for accidents occurring during the activity.
This insurance applies only for the duration of the organized activity under the supervision of ClimbInTenerife instructors. Participants are responsible for any personal belongings or incidents occurring outside the scope of the activity.
Insurance coverage does not exempt participants from following safety instructions or from their responsibilities under these Terms and Conditions.
11. Waiver / Liability Release
All participants are required to sign a waiver prior to the start of any activity or course.
By signing the waiver, participants acknowledge and accept that:
Climbing and outdoor activities involve inherent risks, including falls, injuries, and environmental hazards.
Participation is at their own risk, even when following safety instructions.
ClimbInTenerife, its staff, and affiliates cannot be held liable for injuries, accidents, or damages, except where prohibited by law.
For participants under 18 years old, the waiver must be signed by a parent or legal guardian, who also confirms that the child is physically fit and able to participate.
Signing the waiver does not exempt participants from following safety instructions, and any failure to comply may affect liability and insurance coverage.
12. Liability
ClimbInTenerife shall not be held liable for:

injuries or accidents resulting from failure to follow safety instructions
-
loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings
-
incidents caused by force majeure or circumstances beyond reasonable control
-
incidents involving children under 3 accompanying the group
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
13. Damages
Participants are responsible for any damage caused to climbing equipment, personal or public property, or the natural environment during the activity due to negligence or improper use.

Any damage caused by a participant must be reported immediately to the instructor.

Participants may be charged for the repair or replacement costs of damaged equipment or property.

ClimbInTenerife reserves the right to withhold payments or seek compensation in case of damages caused by intentional or careless behavior.
Participants are expected to treat all equipment, facilities, and natural surroundings with care to ensure safety and sustainability.
14. Intellectual property
All content on this website, including text, images, logos, and design, is the property of ClimbInTenerife unless otherwise stated and may not be used without prior written consent.
15. Personal data
Personal data provided through this website will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.
16. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Spain. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Spain.
17. Changes to these Terms
ClimbInTenerife reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The current version will always be available on this website.
